The Beauty of One Nice Thing Said
Today I had a workshop in my Creative Writing class on short stories we had written. Unfortunately, everyone decided that my story was going to be a target for all bad criticism and it really took a toll on me. I felt like so outnumbered and upset. One girl in my class said one or two nice things about my story and it made me breathe a little easier. You don’t realize how nice it is to hear a nice thing until you’re being attacked by all words of critique. My confidence level went down so much today and I tried to stay positive through it and learn from it. But it was beautiful that the girl had something nice to say to me.
